FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

The new patient procedure is a thorough process, consisting of a complete history and exam. After conclusion of preliminary paperwork, the clinicians will complete a history, orthopedic exam, and a neurological assessment. After the completion of the exam, the findings are explained to the patient, providing an opportunity for questions. Once a diagnosis is explained, a treatment plan is created and reviewed with the patient. This entire process takes 20-30 minutes. Having completed the patient intake, treatment begins!

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

Queen City Chiropractic does not accept insurance, as major insurers do not cover the cutting edge techniques utilized in our office. The result is a dedicated 30 minute treatment that gets you better, faster, saving time and money in the end. While we do not bill insurance, we are able to accept charges through Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Savings Accounts! Additionally, while we are unable to accept common health insurance plans, we accept No Fault insurance. If you were injured in a car accident, come visit us at no cost to you to get back to your old self as quickly as possible.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

Chiropractors serve as portals of entry into the healthcare system. We are commonly the first stop for a range of health related needs! You do not need a referral from another provider to receive chiropractic care. However, your chiropractic exam may result in a referral to another professional if chiropractic treatment is not the most appropriate course of action for your complaint. Queen City ChiroVisit possesses a robust network of specialized professionals to direct your needs if required.

WHAT IS A CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT

The adjustment is at the heart of the treatment plan. Whether due to injury, postural dysfunctions, or repetitive movements, joints develop restrictions, inhibiting their movement. Abnormal movement irritates nerves and strains muscles, causing pain. The chiropractic adjustment restores this movement, returning joints to their ideal state of function. The chiropractic adjustment is painless and safe. Patients often report a feeling of relaxation following the adjustment. You might hear a small crack or pop, but thats just the joints returning to their ideal state!
